The Glaser Coupling is a synthesis of symmetric or cyclic bisacetylenes via a coupling reaction of terminal alkynes. The difference between Glaser & Hay Coupling is only the copper-TMEDA complex. Which is soluble in a wider range of solvents, so the reaction is become more versatile.
