In this lecture, we discussed the Sonogashira cross coupling reactions.
The coupling the terminal alkyl with aryl or vinyl halide under pd-catalyst in known as Sonogashira reaction. The catalysis process required use of pd(0) complex is perform in the presence of base and generally use CuI as co-catalyst. In the session we had discussed reactions, mechanism to better understand the Suzuki cross coupling reactions.
